UNITAR-NYO, IAA, and El Sistema Forge New Partnership with Signing of Memorandum of Understanding

28 February 2024, New York, USA – This morning marked a significant milestone in cultural and educational collaboration as the United Nations Institute for Training and Research - New York Office (UNITAR-NYO), the International Academy for Arts and Cultural Studies (IAA), and El Sistema came together at the United Nations Headquarters to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The agreement was co-signed by Ambassador Marco Suazo, head of UNITAR-NYO, and Dr. Eduardo Mendez, President of El Sistema, establishing a framework for future partnership.
This collaboration aligns with a shared vision to utilize the arts as a dynamic tool for social change and community development. The partners are committed to implementing innovative community outreach programs that leverage music and arts education to empower underprivileged areas and foster social inclusion.
